Home Business Fund Raising Ideas

Looking for new home business fund raising ideas, where you make money, your customer makes money, and everyone feels great.

Most of the time, when we think about fund-raising we think about schools, churches, and youth sports leagues. Those are the obvious ones, and not surprisingly they are among the most targeted by professional fund-raising enterprises.

However, there may be other fund-raising opportunities available that you might not have thought of. Here's a brief list; you can probably think of many more:

  • Fire Departments. Local fire departments operate under some pretty tight budgets, and might welcome the chance to work jointly on a fund-raising campaign. This is especially true of those towns with volunteer firefighting services.

  • High school bands. These groups are always in desperate need of funds, and are largely overlooked in the flurry of fund-raising for the school's athletic teams.

  • Day Care/Pre-Schools. Lots of fund-raising seems to focus around elementary and junior high schools, but here's a definite candidate for additional economic help.

  • Community organizations. Whether it's Kiwanis, the Rotary Club, the Elks, or many other community organizations. These groups do a lot of fund-raising for a variety of charitable causes. This offers two opportunities --- either be involved in the individual charity drive, or simply help the organization raise funds for its own operations.

  • Political candidates/organizations. This can range from environmental groups to local or national political candidates to whatever. Pretty much any "special interest" group is extremely dependent on a steady stream of capital, and can be approached with your fund-raising ideas.

  • College organizations.. Whether a community, state, or private college, there are practically limitless opportunities for fund-raising amongst the many clubs, departments, and other groups found on every campus.
